$b=14$ inches
Putting the values,
Area of rectangular portion $=280$ inches $^2$..
Also, we know that, Area of a circle $=\pi r ^2$
Here, $r =\frac{14}{2}=7$ inches
Putting the values, we' II get
Area of semicircular portion $=\frac{\pi \times(7)^2}{2}=\frac{22}{7} \times \frac{1}{2} \times 7 \times 7$
$A=11 \times 7$
$A=77$ inches $^2$
Adding (i) and (ii), we'll get
