$\because$ Area of rectangle $=$ length $\times$ breadth
$\Rightarrow 24 \ cm^2 = 5 \ cm \times$ breadth
$\Rightarrow$ breadth $=\frac{24 \ cm ^2}{5 \ cm }=4.8 \ cm$
and, perimeter $= 2 \times (l + b)$
$= 2 \times (5 \ cm + 4.8 \ cm)$
$= 2 \times 9.8 \ cm$
$= 19.6 \ cm$
$\Rightarrow 24 \ cm^2 = 5 \ cm \times$ breadth
$\Rightarrow$ breadth $=\frac{24 \ cm ^2}{5 \ cm }=4.8 \ cm$
