Question
A truck and a car are moving on a straight road with equal kinetic energy. If both engines are switched off simultaneously which one will stop at a shorter distance?

Answer

 $\because \frac{1}{2} m_1 v _1^2=\frac{1}{2} m_2 v _2^2$
Here $m_1, v _1$ are the mass and velocity of the truck and $m_2, v _2$ are the mass and velocity of car.
$\begin{array}{l}\because m_1>m_2 \\ \therefore v _1< v _2\end{array}$
$\therefore$ Due to less velocity of the truck, the truck will cover less distance.
