Add the following rational numbers: $\frac{-3}{7}\text{ and }\frac{5}{-7}$

$\frac{-3}{7}\text{ and }\frac{5}{-7}$ $\frac{5}{-7}=\frac{5\times(-1)}{-7\times(-1)}=\frac{-5}{7}$ $\therefore \ \frac{-3}{7}+\frac{-5}{7}=\frac{-3-5}{7}$ $=\frac{-8}{7}$
