Directive Principles of State Policy are given in Part IV. Articles 36 to 51 of the Indian Constitution. These include a number of human rights which are essential for the all-round development of individual such as right to work. right to leisure. equal pay for equal work to men and women, free and compulsory education for children in the age group of 6 to 14 years.

→ It shall reorganize the economic system in such a way to avoid concentration of wealth in the hands of a few.
→ It shall utilise and control physical resources to serve common good.
→ It shall secure healthy working condition for men, women and children.
→ It shall guard the children against exploitation and moral degradation.
→ It shall make efforts to raise the standard of living and public health.
→ It shall promote educational and economie Interests of many classes, particularly the SCS and the STS.
→ It shall provide early childhood care and education to all children in the age group of 6 to 14 years.
→ It shall prohibit intoxicating drinks and drugs that are injurious to health.
→ It shall promote Panchayati Raj. agriculture. cottage and village industries for the development of the rural areas.
→ It shall prohibit the slaughter of cow. calves and milch animals.
→ It shall protect historical monuments.environment and wildlife.
→ It shall make arrangement for free legal aid to the poor by enacting legislation.
→ It shall take steps to secure the participation of workers in management of industries.
