Question
Briefly explain the land reforms.

Answer

Land reforms:
At the time of the merger with the Union of India, about 75 percent of the population of Rajasthan was engaged in agricultural work. More than half of the land of Rajasthan was dry and deserted. The major problem of the state was related to land reforms. For this, a revenue board was established for ill the integrated princely states of Rajasthan. Land disputes are very complex. Therefore, the peace and order of the state, especially the rural areas, is associated with them. The revenue board was given the responsibility to provide cheap, speedy and accessible justice to those trapped in the disputes and the Rajasthan Government has implemented the Rajasthan Tenancy Act, 1955 and the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956 for land reforms.
