Question
Calculate $BC $.

Answer

In $\triangle ADC ,$
$\frac{C D}{A D}=\tan 42^{\circ}$
$\Rightarrow C D=20 \times 0.9004=18.008 m $
$\operatorname{In} \triangle ADB$
$\frac{A D}{B D}=\tan 35^{\circ}$
$\Rightarrow B D=\frac{A D}{\tan 35^{\circ}}=\frac{20}{0.7002}=28.563 m$
$\therefore BC = BD - CD =10.55 m $
