(i) Crop rotation includes growing crops like wheat, rice, and millets, etc which exhaust soils by absorbing nutrients from it.
(ii) Leguminous plants have nodules on them in which rhizobium bacteria live which converts atmospheric nitrogen into nitrogen compound. By growing leguminous crops after these crops causes nitrogen to get added in soils once again for the next crops.
