Define cytoplasmic division or cytokinesis and write any two differences between cytoplasmic division of animal and plant cells.

Cytokinesis
 The uniform distribution of the cytoplasm of the parent cell into two daughter cells is called cytoplasmic division or cytokinesis.
Cytoplasmic Division in Animal Cell:
1. Microfilaments of actin and myosin form a contractile ring, forming a groove on the surface.
2. It progresses from outside to the middle.
Cytoplasmic Division in Plant Cell:
1. The cell line is formed from the phragmoplast in the middle of the cell.
2. It progresses from the centre to the periphery.
