Define roasting. Name an ore on which roasting is done. Give balanced equation.

Roasting is the process of heating concentrated ore to a high temperature in the presence of air. The ore zinc blende is roasted in order to get zinc oxide.
Example: Zinc sulphides are oxidised to zinc oxide.
