Primitive Subsistence : Also known as 'Shifting Cultivation', where forests are cleared by burning and primitive tools are used. Intensive Subsistence : Practiced in densely populated areas. It is of two types : (i) Dominated by wet paddy (ii) Dominated by crops other than paddy (like wheat or soy).
