- Peptide linkage: Peptide linkage is an amide $(-CO-NH-)$ bond formed between $–COOH$ and $–NH_2$ group in protein formation.
- Denaturation: When a protein in its native form, is subjected to physical change like change in temperature or chemical change like change in $pH$, protein loses its biological activity. This is called denaturation of protein.
