Phagocytosis : The material which one engulfs during endocytosis may be either solid or liquid. When the material engulfed are solid, the process is called phagocytosis. It is the main feeding mechanism in case of Amoeba. By this process foreign bacteria and other harmful organisms are engulfed by WBCs.
