A number of sources of information are available regarding Sufism.Some of them are listed below:
Kashf-ul-Mahjub: It was written by Data Ganj Bakhsh and provided us detailed information about Sufi principles and the mode of practising them.
Makubat: It means a collection of letter, written by Sufi saints to the disciples and associate. Makubat provides us valuable information about the religious experiences of Sufi saints.
Tazkiras: Tazkiras refers to the biographic accounts of the Sufi saints. Mir Khwurd Kirmani wrote Siyar-ul-Auliya, first Tazkira in India in the 14th century. Akhbar-ul-Akhyar the most valuable Tazkiras throw a light on the life of 225 Sufi saints.
Malfuzats: They are the collections of Sufi saints and are of two kinds. The kinds of Malfuzats were written after the death of Shaikh, while second kinds were written during the lifetime of the Shaikhs.
