Diseases which spread from one person to another. Diseases which do not spread from person to person and remain confined to the diseased person.
These are also called as infectious diseases These are also called as non-infectious diseases
These diseases are caused by microbes called pathogens. These diseases are not caused by microbes.
Examples: AIDS, cholera, cold, mumps, typhoid etc. Examples: allergy, diabetes, anaemia, etc.
