Problem-focused strategy

Emotion focusses strategy
  1. Call for psychological changes.
  2. Designated to limit the degree of emotional disruption caused by an event.
  3. With minimal effort to alter the event itself.
While both problem focussed and emotion focussed strategies are necessary when facing stressful situations, research suggests that people generally tend to use the former more often than the latter.
