 Transpiration Guttation
 Water is lost in vapour form. Water is lost in liquid form.
 It takes place through stomata, lenticels or cuticles. It takes place through hydathodes.
 It occurs during the day. It increases with rise in   temperature. It occurs in early morning and evening, when   temperature is low.
 It has a cooling effect on plants. No such effect occurs.
