Discuss and share the information in the class-
(a) How do we recognize the changes in weather? Give some examples.
(b) Write down the characteristics of summer and winter. Compare the two and share your experiences related to them in the class.

(a) We can use the following ways to recognize the changes in weather-
- Temperature-The change in weather can be identified through temperature. In summers the temperature increases while it decreases in winters.
- Rainfall-The change in weather can be recognized through rainfall. It rains less in summers, while it rains more in monsoon.
- Growth of plants-Growth of plants also shows the change in weather. In summers, plants dry up, whereas plants become green in the rainy season.
(b) Characteristics of Summer and WinterSummer :
- The temperature is high.
- The days are long and nights are short.
- Plants dry up.
Winter :
- The temperature is less.
- The days are short and nights are long.
- Plants also affect due to cold.
Sharing experiences :
- "In summers, I take my umbrella while going out to protect myself from heat."
- In winters, I go to school in fog and wear sweater.
