Draupadi is a Khatriya lady with dignity. She is annoyed due to insults. This great character of the Mahabharata is glorified in 'किरातार्जुनीयम्' by the great poet Bharavi. Draupadi, the daughter of the king Draupad was the wife of the Pandavas. Yudhisthira put her on stake in the game of dice and lost her. She was humiliated in the court by Dushasan and other Kauravas which she could never forget. She tolerates insult commited by the enemies and lives a life of exile with the Pandavas. She tries to motivate Yudhisthira to display his bravery in a very effective speech. In the beginning of the poem, apart from anger and annoyance, her tender feelings can also be observed. She feels heavy pain due to miserable condition of the Pandavas done by the enemies. She is not so tender that she can tolerate all the pains. Therefore she tries to convince Yudhisthra to fight a war against the Kauravas discarding all the rules of gambling. She is a brave and modest woman.
