Functions:
  1. Acrosome contains enzymes that help in dissolving egg envelopes and gain entry into the cytoplasm of the ovum.
  2. Middle piece contains a number of mitochondria and provide energy for the movement of sperm in the female genital tract, towards the ovum.
  3. Tail- The movement of tail is responsible for the motility of sperm towards the ovum.
