$=\int\text{x}^\frac{1}{2}\times\text{x}^{-1}\text{dx}$
$=\int\text{x}^{\frac{1}{2}-1}\text{dx}$
$=\int\frac{\text{x}^{\frac{-1}{2}+1}+\text{c}}{\frac{-1}{2}+1}$
$=\frac{\text{x}^\frac{1}{2}}{\frac{1}{2}}$
