Question
Explain 'The Dandi March' briefly.

Answer

The British who ruled over India had put a heavy tax on salt. To oppose this law Gandhiji, along with several other people, went on a yatra (long walk) from Ahmedabad to Dandi seashore in Gujarat in $1930$. There Gandhiji broke the 'salt law'. This protest (or march) is famously known as the 'Dand March'.
