  1. In India, the national income and per capita income is very low and it is considered as one of the basic features of underdevelopment.
  2. Indian economy is too much dependent on agriculture and thus it is primary producing.
  3. High rate of population growth.
  4. In india, there is Existence of unemployment and under-employment.
  5. Also, there is Poor rate of capital formation.
  6. Another important feature of the Indian economy is the mal distribution of wealth ie inequality in wealth distribution.
  7. Prevalence of low level of technology.
  8. In india, there's underutilization of natural resources.
  9. Lack of infrastructural facilities.
  10. The standard of living of Indian people in general is considered as very low.
  11. And last but not the least: Inadequate development of economic organization.
