Express $2\ m\ 45\ cm$ as metre using decimal.

$2\ m\ 45 \ cm = 2\ m + 45 \ cm = 2\ m + \frac { 45 } { 100 } \ m . . . . [\because 1 \ cm = \frac { 1 } { 100 } m]$
$= 2\ m + 0.45\ m$
