Question
Find the angle that is three times its complementary angle.
✓
Answer
Let given angle = x Let complementary angle of a given angle is y ∴ then x + y = 90 But x = 3y ∴ 3y + y = 90° ⇒ 4y = 90° $\Rightarrow y=\frac{90^{\circ}}{4}=22.5^{\circ}$ ∴ complementary = x = 90° - 22 - 5° = 67.5°
