Find the area in square centimeters of a triangle whose base and altitude are as under:
Base = 8dm, altitude = 15cm

Answer

We know that the area of a triangle $=\frac{1}{2}\text{(Base}\times\text{Height)}$
Here, base = 8dm = (8 × 10)cm = 80cm [Since 1dm = 10cm] and height = 3.5cm
Area of the triangle $=\frac{1}{2}\times80\times15$
$=600\text{cm}^2$
