Question
Find the sum:
$\frac{7}{12}+\frac{11}{16}+\frac{9}{24}$

Answer

$\frac{7}{12}+\frac{11}{16}+\frac{9}{24}$
$LCM$ of $12, 16, 24 = 48$
$\frac{7}{12}=\frac{7\times4}{12\times4}=\frac{28}{48}$
$\frac{11}{16}=\frac{11\times3}{16\times3}=\frac{33}{48}$
$\frac{9}{24}=\frac{9\times2}{24\times2}=\frac{18}{48}$
$\therefore=\frac{7}{12}+\frac{11}{16}+\frac{9}{24}$
$=\frac{28}{48}+\frac{33}{48}+\frac{18}{48}$
$=\frac{28+33+18}{48}=\frac{79}{48}=1\frac{31}{48}$
