Let y be !he third proportion
$16x^2 : 24x : : 24 x : y$
$\Rightarrow 16x^2 : 24 x : : 24 x : y$
$\Rightarrow 16x^2 y = 576 x^2$
$\Rightarrow 16 y = 576$
$\Rightarrow y = 36$
The third proporbon is $36.$
