As per India's definition of $1961$ urbanisation means:
$(1)$ The area in which municipality, corporation, cantonment board or notified towns area committee is setup is considered town or city.
$(2)$ Which includes the following criteria is considered town of city
$(a)$ The population is $5000$ or more
$(b)\ 75\%$ or more males drawing livelihood from the sector other than agriculture.
$(c)$ Density of population is more than $400$ per sq. meter.
