High concentration of ozone can be dangerously explosive. Explain.

Thermal stability : Ozone is thermodynamically unstable than oxygen and decomposes into $O_2$.
The decomposition is exothermic and results in the liberation of heat ($\triangle H$ is – ve) and an increase in entropy ($\triangle S$ is positive).
This results in large negative Gibbs energy change $(\triangle G)$.
Therefore high concentration of ozone can be dangerously explosive. Eq $O_3 \rightarrow O_2 + O$
