Lessons learnt from emergency–

It is very difficult to do away with democracy in India. It has become the part and parcel of our daily life and without democracy one is not able to lead a normal life.
Freedom of Press is also very dear to people and no body should try to snatch it.
Everybody became more aware about the fundamental rights and their importance.
Weakness of the Constitution became evident and those weaknesses were plugged.
