How can we obtain pure water from seawater?

Seawater is boiled in a closed container and stearn is obtained. The vapour thus obtained is passed through a condenser tube where it condenss and gets converted in water again. The water obtained on the other end of the condenser tube is called distilled water. It is tasteless absolute pure water. This method is called distillation. figure
