The cherry tree faced many difficulties after it sprouted. A goat entered the garden and ate all of its leaves, and a careless grass- cutter chopped it in half. It also had to withstand a harsh winter where it bent low under the weight of snow. Despite all this, the tree did not die. It continued to send out new shoots and grow taller every season. By the end of the story, it had not only survived but blossomed and borne fruit. Its resilience is one of the main lessons of the story.
