  1. In Northern Ireland the population is divided into two major sects of en Christianity- 53% are Protestants and 44% are Roman Catholics.
  2. The Catholics are more likely to be poor. They have suffered a history of discrimination.
  3. The Protestants are very rich. This results in conflicts between the Catholics and the Protestants. Thus, we see that class and religion overlap with each other in Northern Ireland.
