The air we breathe gets polluted by the smoke emitted by chemical and paper factories, brick kilns, refineries and smelting plants and burning of fossil fuels in big and small factories that ignore pollution norms.
Ill-effects of Pollution:

1. Toxic gas leaks can be very hazardous with long-term effects. We can mention here the tragedy of the Bhopal gas plant. It occurred in 1984 but its ill-effects can be seen even today.
2. Air pollution adversely affects human health, animals, plants, buildings and the atmosphere as a whole.
