As thousands of goods and services are produced, it is an enormous task to add up all these. To solve this problem, economists suggest that the che value of goods and services should be used rather than adding the actual numbers. For example, if 10,000kgs of wheat is sold at ₹ 8 per kg, the value of wheat will be ₹ 80,000. The value of 5,000 coconuts at ₹ 10 per piece will be ₹ 50,000. Similarly, the value of goods and services in the three sectors are calculated, and then added up. The precaution undertaken while counting goods and services is that only final value of the goods and services should be counted as it already includes the value of all intermediate goods.
