Lymphoid organs are the part of lymphatic system that perform various function like storing mature lymphocytes, removing waste materials form intersticial fluid, providing place for interaction of antigen and antibody to provide immunity to the body. Spleen is considred as lymphoid organ because it is a part of lymphatic system and helps in the storing of lymphocytes . These lymphocytes in turn synthesise antibodies and thus help in eliminating infectious agents like bacteria from the body. It also helps in removing dead and defective RBCs from the blood.
