Question
How many two-digit numbers are divisible by 6?

Answer

The two-digit numbers divisible by 6 start from
12, 18, 24, ..., 96
Here,
$a = 12$
$d = 6$
$a_n = a + (n - 1)d$
$\Rightarrow 96 = 12 + (n - 1)(6)$
$\Rightarrow 96 = 12 + 6n - 6$
$\Rightarrow 90 = 6n$
$\Rightarrow n = 15$
This, 15 two-digit number are divisible by 6.
