Question
How thalassemia$-\alpha$ differs from thalassemia$-\beta$?

Answer

Anaemia is the main feature of this disease. There are two forms of thalassemia, i.e. $\alpha-$thalassemia (production of affected $\alpha-$globin chain which is governed by genes on $16^{th}$ chromosome) and $\beta-$thalassemia (production of affected p-chain which is governed by a gene on $11^{th}$ chromosome).
