If $\Delta$ is an operation on integers such that for integers a and b, $\text{a }\Delta\text{ b}=\text{a}-\text{b}-(-5)$. Find the values of:
$(-9)\ \Delta\ (-4)$

Answer

$\because\text{a }\Delta\text{ b}= \text{a}-\text{b}-(-5)$
$\therefore(-9)\ \Delta\ (-4)=(-9)-(-4)-(-5)$
$= -9 +4 + 5$
$= 0$
