Question
If two complementary angles are in the ratio 1 : 5, find them.
✓
Answer
Two complementary angles are in the ratio $=1: 5$ Let these angles be $x$ and $5 x$ $ \therefore x+5 x=90^{\circ} $ $ \Rightarrow 6 \mathrm{x}=90^{\circ} $ $ \Rightarrow x=\frac{90^{\circ}}{6}=15^{\circ} $ $\therefore$ Angles will be $15^{\circ}$ and $15^{\circ} \times 5=75^{\circ}$
