Increase 1200 in the ratio 2 : 3 and then decrease the resulting number in the ratio 10 : 3.

Answer

The given quantity $=1200$ and increase in the ratio is $2: 3$
The increased quantity $=\frac{3}{2} \times 1200=1800$
Now, the quantity is decrease in the ratio $10: 3$
$
=\frac{3}{10} \times 1800=540
$
