Question
India is a truly secular nation. Give reason.
✓
Answer
India believes in the philosophy of Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam' i.e. the whole world is a family. Owing to this feeling, India has remained one united nation by amalgamating all the cultures that exist in India.
The way all the rivers amalgamate into the great ocean, our country amalgamates different religions, castes, languages, traditions, creed, customs and festivals.
People including great sages, Sufi saints, Swami Vivekananda, Dayanand Saraswati and Mahatma Gandhi always stressed upon peace, co-ordination and universal brotherhood.
The great sages of India have spread religious tolerance and secularism across the world.
Moreover, many religions such as Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, Jainism, Christianity, Sikhism, etc. exists together in India and people remain in harmony and with feeling of co-existence.
Hence, we can rightly say that India is truly a secular nation.
