People tend to fool others to save themselves, which is very well reflected in the plot 'The Tale of Melon City'. The king was so foolish that he was not able to see through the excuses made by others and eventually paid heavily by losing his own life. The architect or the people who set the noose were far more intelligent than the king and they managed to easily trap him in an unavoidable situation. A king should be witty enough to analyse and rationalise the situation, otherwise, he would land in a difficult situation that might be life-threatening.
