Question
Liquid ammonia bottle is cooled before opening the seal. Why?

Answer

$\text{NH}_3$ is liquefied at high pressure, It is cooled so as to reduce pressure of gas inside the bottle so that it does not burst. If temperature is low, pressure will be low as $\text{P}\propto\text{T}$ at constant volume.
