There are number of bacteria that causes various diseases to living organisms, such bacteria are referred to as harmful bacteria. diseases such as cholera, typhoid, pneumonia and tuberculosis etc. in human beings are caused by bacteria.
Some bacteria that are used as probiotics, or those living in human gut are useful bacteria. such as E coli, Streptomyces, lactobacillus etc. out of these E coli helps in the food digestion. lactobacillus is found in curd, and can ferment milk into cheese and yoghurt.
