Question
One alpha rays beam is incident along positive direction of + X-axis. It experiences a force along + Y-axis due to magnetic field. What is the direction of magnetic field?

Answer

Since alpha are positively charged particles, so their direction will be direction of current. Hence by Fleming's left-hand rule, the direction of magnetic field will be along Z-axis.
