Polluted water has a harmful effect on the marine life as some undecomposed water pollutants enter the bodies of water animals like fish and poison them. Accidental oil spills and other water pollutants like industrial waste, fertilizers lead to the lack of dissolved oxygen in the water and hence make it difficult for the marine life to breathe resulting in their death.
