Show that $x=-3$ is a solution of $x^2+6 x+9=0$.

Answer

Given equation is $x^2+6 x+9=$ OSubstituting $x=-3$ in L.H.S. of above equation, we get
$L.H.S. = (-3)^2 + 6 \times (-3) + 9$
$= 9 - 18 + 9$
$= 18 - 18$
$= 0$
$= R.H.S.$
Hence, $x=-3$ is a solution of the given equation.
