$x^2+ (1 − 2i) x − 2i = 0$

$x^2+ (1 − 2i) x − 2i = 0$
$\Rightarrow x^2 + x - 2i - 2i = 0$
$\Rightarrow x (x + 1) - 2i (x + 1) = 0$
$ \Rightarrow (x + 2i) (x + 1) = 0 $
$\Rightarrow x = 2i, -1$
